No one likes to be manipulated, no, but coffee’s for closers.
The only two on this chart that should have any ‘real’ merit are the wine(booze) and maybe the engagement thing.
As to the engagement thing. No dude can engineer that situation (not without a movie-like plot), so I am going to side-step it for now. I trust that will be okay; if not let me know.
As to the boozing. If you are the type of girl for which booze leads to sexy time, you probably know it. It might only be deep down, but in some small way, you are aware.
I, for instance, become extremely obnoxious when drunk. I am already quite obnoxious, more than enough, so I will say avoid drinking around people I don’t want to offend.
I think if you’re in the place that a pillow fight or neck massage are going to seal the deal, after some red wine or your friend gets engaged, that guy wasn’t as firmly in the ‘friend zone’ as you thought.
The fact that this chart caused any sort of uproar at all is laughable.
I do like the “coffee’s for closers” line.
But yes, my real exception was the using booze and/or situations that make a girl vulnerable to further “sexy time”, as that chart suggests.
And as you acknowledge that those concerns have “real merit”, as you put it, then you understand why people get upset over those two, right?
I mean the other two are just cheesy, but they’re just that: cheesy.
“As to the boozing. If you are the type of girl for which booze leads to sexy time, you probably know it. It might only be deep down, but in some small way, you are aware.”
If I am the type of girl for which booze leads to sexy time, I will be responsible for plying myself with said booze. The fact that anyone would rely on plying anyone ELSE with booze to get what they want? Now that’s disgusting.
“I think if you’re in the place that a pillow fight or neck massage are going to seal the deal, after some red wine or your friend gets engaged, that guy wasn’t as firmly in the ‘friend zone’ as you thought.”
In that case, the rather assholish term of “Friend Zone” does not, and should not, apply. Simple as.
The fact that you find the uproar laughable may suggest either:
a) you don’t understand women like you thought you did, or
b) in the case of you being female, you’ve been silenced into thinking that being exploited is pretty much ok and/or a trivial, jokey thing.
